Samuel

Within hours of giving birth to Samuel, Angela went into pulmonary arrest and had to be intubated. She nearly died, and was in the ICU for a few days. After leaving the ICU, she spent most of her time in the NICU with her baby. Although she was still on oxygen, she helped Samuel learn to feed and grow strong, as he struggled with breathing issues and jaundice from being born prematurely. Now, both Angela and her son are very healthy. He is over a year old and into everything!

(Savannah’s Hope helped by giving Angela a gene tote. She really appreciated the gift, because she was struggling with her health and missing her family, and rarely had a chance for something as simple as a shower. Angela thought our tote was inspiring and thoughtful, and at the time it gave her the pick-me-up that she needed.)
